Columbus Day Rookie Award!

If this is your first time ever to race in a Columbus Day Regatta, not only will you be racing for a trophy in your class, you will be competing for the Rookie Award, sponsored by Coconut Grove's Mutiny Hotel. Whoever has the best combined corrected time amongst all the first time participants will be given a keeper trophy, and have their name on the perpetual trophy. You must race both days to be eligible.

We started awarding this trophy in 2002, and hope newcomers are encouraged to join the regatta and attend the awards ceremony. Just to entice you a little more to be a first time racer in the CDR, we will give you a $10 discount on the entry fee if your entry is received by entry deadline. Make sure you indicate on the Entry Form that this is the first time you have ever entered this regatta!
