THE COLUMBUS DAY REGATTA OCTOBER 6TH & 7TH, 2001

It's over for another year!!

It was definitely on this year -- October 6th & 7th 2001 you again got to join the race that nobody can beat.

You got your sails out of the locker, dusted off the Captain's hat, found that crew that went missing sometime last October, got a few refreshments into the "Esky" (Cooler to those without culture), filled in an entry form (and sent the entry fee as well), and headed for the best regatta on Biscayne Bay.

I heard you saying that maybe the "old tub" wouldn't make it this year - but after you listened to me you knew it would.

There were committee people all over the place, even those cheeky ones at the marks so you couldn't cut the corners. Some even thought they were Wyatt Earp, rounding up power heads 

Results will be posted at the awards/presentation ceremony, held at Coral Reef Yacht Club on the Saturday following the race, October 13, 2001. You should be able to see them on here at about the same time.
